Can You Skip Out On Motorhome Insurance To Save Money?

Can You Skip Out On Motorhome Insurance To Save Money?

by Zartiex Can You Skip Out On Motorhome Insurance To Save Money? There is no doubt that a lot of people really need to cut back on things where they can in order to make it financially. Times can get tough. However, there are simply some things that you will not be able to cut back on, at least not without causing yourself major problems. Some will think that since they really do not drive their motorhome as much as other vehicles that they have, that they should be okay with dropping that cover until they get things in order. The problem is that once they end up dropping the cover, they end up used to the new financial arrangement and they might not be able to find themselves in a position to quickly reinstate their policy when they need to. If you cut out the cover all together, you will find that you will not be able to drive your motorhome, at least not legally. Some seem to be willing to take the risk, but it is certainly not worth it. You have to make sure that you are following the law or you could end up finding yourself in a lot of trouble. Even if you are one of the best drivers out there, you could end up in a wreck because of someone else and it could still be labelled your fault. You just never know so it is always better to make sure that you are well prepared with the best possible insurance. If you do not have insurance for your vehicle, then you will...

Celebrities Use Humor To Fight Back Against Health Insurance Industry

by brizzle born and bred Celebrities Use Humor To Fight Back Against Health Insurance Industry What do America Ferrera and Jack Black have in common? Besides being Hollywood stars and known for their comedic prowess, the actress and actor are both working with a pro-healthcare reform group to protest against lobbyists seeking to weaken the law. Health Care For America Now (HCAN) is spearheading the effort. They are fighting against groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, 60 Plus Association, and America Crossroads. These groups heavily oppose the Obama administration’s health insurance plan reform for several reasons–including the potential for increased taxes (which could hurt small businesses), and predicted cuts to Medicare Advantage programs for senior citizens. Despite their different justifications, these organizations have a common goal: influencing next month’s midterm elections. If Republicans take back Congress, they have pledged to repeal the Affordable Care Act. While President Obama is guaranteed to veto such bills as long as he is in office, GOP legislators can have a significant impact on a state level. Several states have ballot propositions that would forbid anybody from imposing an individual mandate on their residents. In the case of healthcare reform supporters, this would be a disaster. They claim that the aformentioned lobbying and industry groups are spreading propaganda to scare Americans. Therefore, they are using humor to create their own viral video propaganda. The video makes fun of “corporate liars for hire”–organizations that have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to overturn the law. Black and Ferrera play key roles in a series of videos called “The Misinformant.” The main character, Nathan Spewman,...
Impact of Affordable Health Insurance Reform on Hispanics

Impact of Affordable Health Insurance Reform on Hispanics

by Zartiex Impact of Affordable Health Insurance Reform on Hispanics The aim of healthcare reform is to improve the health and living standards of the American population. It remains to be seen if the legislation will be successful. Because of the growing population of Hispanics and Latinos, they are increasingly likely to be affected. Many live under the poverty line, either unemployed or working low-wage jobs that do not offer health insurance. Typically, Democrats have been successful among this demographic. This is even more true after the Republican governor of Arizona passed SB 1070, which allows law enforcement officers to stop and investigate anyone they suspect of being an undocumented immigrant–and which some people believe amounts to racial profiling. Therefore, President Obama is looking to shore up support among this group. Recently, Obama made a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. In the speech, the President touted the benefits: affordable health insurance options will give them access to more effective preventative care, and reduce the overuse of emergency rooms. Increasing rates due to pre-existing conditions will also be banned. According to Obama, nine million Latinos will benefit from the legislation. This number does not include illegal immigrants. The final version of the bill that passed the Senate does not allow the undocumented those benefits. Undocumented immigrants are not even allowed to utilize the affordable health insurance exchanges (launched by the federal government and individual states) with their own money. While they never would have recieved subsidies for coverage from the federal government, they would have been allowed to purchase health plans with their own money under the House...

January 24 Image by stacya Joseph and I met in January 2010, but it feels like a lifetime ago. At that point, I had just quit my least favorite job (still) in auto insurance and had recently gotten engaged. He had recently graduated from university and was working at a sushi buffet. We were both writing and creating web only content for Portland Monthly Magazine. I even wrote a story about froyo and quoted him in it. So now we catch up from time to time, and have beers. This night, we played a card game and watched basketball. What has happened in three years? He lived in Kansas for 20 months because of his girlfriend, they broke up, and then he came back to an awesome job as a web content editor. I went to Korea for a year, ended my engagement, and got my Masters in communication. I wonder what will happen in another three years. Probably nothing I can imagine or...
